Gonzaga must have saved their rollover minutes to land recruit Harris

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are taking their recruiting worldwide as they landed one of the best young talents in Germany who will lace it up for the Zags this fall.  There are little organizations in the United States that publically rank global recruits making it difficult for fans to follow international talent.  With this said, this rising star will be sure to make an immediate impact with his uncanny athleticism and explosive style of play and will strive to gain national, and worldwide attention for the University of Gonzaga.

Elias Harris, born 7/6/89, brings his 6’7”, 220 lbs frame to the University of Gonzaga with many years of experience playing against some of the top athletes in Europe.  Competing on the German National team since the age of sixteen, Elias thrived on European Championship teams and for his club team Speyer where he averaged 20.9 points per game and 9.2 rebounds last season.  Although the exact position Elias will play is unknown, he has the leaping ability, toughness and versatility to play small forward, power forward, or possibly shooting guard.

This admirable young man is a class act off the court as well and destined for big things.  Some European basketball players immediately sign a professional contract, but Elias is focused on his studies and chose Gonzaga because of such a tight knit community, their great reputation, and smaller class size which allows for more individual student involvement.

Elias’s talent will bring an electric attitude to Spokane this year and will hopefully be Germany’s next impact player on the game of basketball since NBA superstar Dirk Nowitzki.
